I'm so sorry you've lost your baby. Please know your story is safe with me. I see you as the bereaved parent you are, even if not everyone else understands.
And that's ok, not everyone will understand. I went through a TFMR myself in early 2018 and I had to explain so much to all my therapists, my medical team, even to my own partner. It was exhausting to find the right people, but I eventually cobbled together the support I needed. Here with me there is no explanation needed. I see you, I hear you. I'm here to help. That's why I became a pregnancy loss doula. And that's why I put together this bereavement care package, so you can give yourself the gift of having that constant companion by your side. I already see a Therapist. Is this PsychoTherapY?
I'm so happy you already have a therapist that is working for you. That is a huge win. And no, my services are *not* psychotherapy or art therapy.
I am a Pregnancy Loss Doula, and I can step in to companion you in the spaces where therapy ends and your daily life begins. Think of it more like coaching; your therapist might give you homework to do, and together we can set the goals you need to complete that assignment. As a doula, I can also be your medical emotional support: over chat we can make sure all your questions are prepared for your medical appointments and you can debrief with me about the emotional and spiritual aspects after seeing the doctor, having a postpartum check-up, deciding whether to try and conceive (TTC) again, etc...

Do We have to use WhatsApp to Text/Talk? I don't have that App.
I find that Whatsapp has a very reliable platform, so that's why I recommend it. We can text, send images, screenshots, audio voicemail and even video through Whatsapp. And if we are both on WiFi, voice and video calls are free, so you can even take me along virtually to a triggering post-partum or even unrelated doctor's appointment.
I always recommend to my clients that they try the app and see if it works for our time together, but if it really doesn't work for you, we can switch to Facebook or Instagram messages.

I Don't know much about reiki. Will that even help me?
Reiki is a gentle yet deep energy healing tool. Reiki uses the healing power of the universe to realign and reconnect us to Source, and the healing that is already in us. For our virtual Reiki session, you can preferably be lying down or even schedule the session to happen while you are asleep (it is best you are NOT driving or operating heavy machinery) and I will send Reiki to you from the safety of our own homes, no germs.
I've been a Reiki teacher and practitioner for many years now, and I find that the sessions are so relaxing, can help ease anxiety, and help me get in touch with my big emotions. It's work on a spiritual level that will also flow over into our emotional and physical well-being. It's a gentle aid in grief, when everything has been turned upside down.

I am *NOT* an Artist. Will I be able to follow along with the ART?
This is a great question, and YES, I want you to know that I am not an artist by trade either and I keep all of my prompts doable for even the least artsy of us. I have many many days myself when I don't feel called to do "art art" but I can still play deeply in my art journal, working through big thoughts and ideas like loss, what it means to continue to mother my dead baby, and so much more.
Almost all of my art prompts and art journaling do also have a written part if working with words is your thing.
And I'm really big on shaky lines, so if you can't draw a straight line, I think you'll like these prompts too.

My TFMR pregnancy Loss was many years ago. Should I still apply?
Yes, please apply! There is no expiration date on grief. And you may find yourself in need of help because another recent loss is bringing up your grief for your baby. Or maybe you are coming up on a hard milestone or grief "anniversary." Or perhaps you were never allowed to grieve due to family or your culturaI environment. I want you to know, I am here for you. Apply and we'll chat more to see if we're a good fit.
